Induction Heating Explained

The induction heating process is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction as defined by Michael Faraday in the 19th century. With induction heating, heat is transferred indirectly to the material to be treated through the coupling of an electromagnetic field created by passing alternating current through an inductor or coil.

By using this clean, non-polluting and inherently safe technology, product contamination through contact is avoided and precisely the right amount of heat is applied to the right area for exactly the right amount of time.

The result is a highly consistent procedure, proven in the delivery of total control and complete repeatability across a whole range of applications.

These applications include hardening, tempering, annealing, straightening and stress relieving, as well as numerous coating procedures.
